Karl&Brita 07.19.2014

Back in the saddle.

Behind the camera again since my son Russell was born this spring.

How fun to start it off with Karl and Brita’s wedding!

I could feel the excitement as I parked my car outside Brita’s Mom and Dad’s home.

I didn’t even see anyone yet but I could feel it.

Maybe it was because I was back to being part of someone’s special, special day.

I am always honored for this opportunity.

Karl and Brita’s day was a beautiful partly sunny, summer day.

Pictures were taken at Apple Jack’s Orchard. It made for a pretty setting!

This picture makes me smile because it shows how brothers have a way of making each other laugh.

Speaking of brothers…

This is a fun one that Karl jokingly suggested.  The guys got into it:)

The cute additions to the bridal party arrived!

There is something about a bride and her mother on the wedding day. It’s a big day for mom too.

Thank you Karl and Brita for the opportunity!

And one more…

Joyful Creations

Meet Karissa, creator and seamstress behind Joyful Creations(can be found on facebook).

I called Karissa up for a fun photo shoot with some of her products.

I was itching to take some pictures and I thought it’s be fun to get some of her items out there.

Great custom gift ideas if you ask me!

.

Karissa’s sister Chloe came along to help us out!

Chloe rocks this look!

.

Both skirts were made by Karissa.

Loved the handmade yellow cape/shall. It photographed well:)

Two fun hats.

Classic flannel scarf.

I’m keeping this play set diaper bag in mind for a future birthday present.

Mid-winter Break

Man, it has been a while.

This happens every time after the photography rush of fall time….I can’t get myself back to blogging.

I barely lift a finger photography wise. I just need a complete BREATHER!

I do sit there with my thoughts and evaluate where I am, where I dream to be.

But I just need the time away.

It’s during this time that I like to read an inspirational quote I have written down on a sheet of paper in my computer room.

“Be not afraid of going slowly, but only of standing still.”

I don’t feel like I come to a stop with photography but love to sit back for a while and recharge my batteries.

This post is to share the wonderful, youthful fresh faces that stopped by this fall for some senior shots.

Chloe was a great help for me this year! She turned into my “senior rep” because she was so generous with her time.

Thank you all for the opportunity!

Now I hope to be blogging more frequently in the future.

Brent & Kayla 10.19.13

I was very honored when I was asked by Brent and Kayla to photograph their wedding.

I hung out with Brent(I’m sorry  I know him better as Boompa!) back in Minnesota and was very excited to be a part of his wedding day.

Rain drizzled throughout the morning but that didn’t change the mood of the day.

Kayla did all the flowers for the wedding. They were beautiful!

Moving along to another location, Boompa made sure his bride didn’t face any rain:)

Their idea…maybe they got it off pinterest:)

A great shot from my second shooter, Janet!

And the big moment…

Congratulations Boompa and Kayla! Thanks again for having me.

Frank & Valerie 10.12.13

Ahh finally getting a chance to sit down amongst these COLORFUL pictures and put a blog post together.

Frank and Val’s wedding day was a chilly, rainy but colorful, fall day!

.

.

.

The bride is ready…

and the flower girl is ready. The day can begin:)

We started the day with the ladies.

.

.

.

.

.

A switch into a laid-back style.

.

.

Addison made for a very photogenic flower girl!

.

And the groom arrives along with the rain.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

When push comes to shove, this bridal party is tough.

But I might have to give the guys more credit then the girls:)

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

This picture may show a little bit about Frank.

.

.

.

.

.

After warming up a bit in the church, we were able to capture a few extra pictures.

.

.

.

.

Loved the details.

.

.

.

Thank you Frank and Valerie!

Johnny&Sara 09.07.13

I am going to start things off right at the heart of the day.

Right where it’s all just getting started.

One happy groom,

and one beaming bride. (Tara’s angle)

.

.

.

.

.

.

Tara Grangroth was my second shooter for the day and she captured great pictures. This one here is Tara’s.

The fanfare for the first look.

So once we were all there we might as well grab a good shoe shot.

.

.

.

.

.

.

I just thought the scenery, the smiles were too much to stop snapping pictures.

.

.

This is the spot where Johnny and Sara got engaged. Maybe that explains the big smiles!

.

.

.

Now we join the bridal party. Mustaches are in full force.

.

.

.

.

.

.

The whole crew.

Might be my favorite out of the whole crew:)

.

.

.

.

The guys on their break from pictures.

.

.

.

Brother and sisters!

Karen capturing Phil with the boys.

This is one brave bride and groom and I was thankful for that.

I was able to take them out on the Black Rocks where the wind and mist was pretty strong.

.

Tara’s point-of-view

Brave ones.

.

Then onto family…

Johnny’s family

Sara’s family

Lexi and Lance…seemed like my camera and Tara’s kept gravitating toward these cuties…

.

and little Clark.

.

.

.

.

Thank you Johnny and Sara for the opportunity to be a special part of your wedding day!
